U42T rearview Mirror mount
I designed a replacement rearview mirror mount for my ’94 Mitsubishi Minicab.
The original mirror hangs from a 13 mm ball joint in the roof, but after 32 years, the plastic socket and frame had deteriorated so badly that the mirror flopped around—and eventually the glass fell out and broke.
I wanted to keep the factory mounting point rather than glue a new bracket to the windshield, so I picked up a cheap clip-on mirror and designed an adapter in Tinkercad.
The print is essentially a socket that snaps onto the original 13 mm ball joint, attached to a rectangular plate sized to fit the clip-on mirror’s brackets. The socket was probably the most creative part I’ve made in Tinkercad so far. It took four or five iterations to dial in the fit, but the final version holds securely and lets me use the original roof mount.
It’s a pretty simple part, but I’m really proud of how cleanly it solved the problem. I thought the community might find it useful, so I uploaded the printable here:

Also, apologies for the blurry photo through the windshield.
