On pep
Had unprotected sex with a woman from Fiji with unkown hiv status and I don’t know them at all I’m in New Zealand and Fiji has an hiv epidemic right now so I started to fear the worst I’ve started pep 55 hours and 20 minutes after possible exposure I was deemed very low risk and hiv has a very low presence in my country but I would rather be safe than sorry I know there are other more common stis that I should be more worried about but I have just an ultra fear of contracting HIV I’m feeling super happy to be on PEP now I would of gotten it a full 30 hours earlier but my whole town has no PEP on hand somehow not even my hospital unless they were lying and wanted me to get infected to I had to wait for some pep to be ordered in from a pharmac supplier in nz I’m under the 72 hour window but would of rather had pep before 36-48 hours but feeling hopeful I didn’t qualify for the 3 drug regime and it was going to cost 1800 and I didn’t have that so I got given the two drug regime but when I plug the names into chat gpt it thinks I’ve got the 3 drug one but regardless feeling a lot better than I was last night
