This might be a long shot but does anyone know of Bronx elementary school openings? Specifically, early childhood?
I’m looking to transition into the doe. I’m in my last year of teaching and in the process of trying to obtain my internship certification. However, my school is requiring that I have a position in line first (which sucks).
So! I might just be dropping below 6 credits due to this whole loan limit fiasco to pay out of pocket.
Few questions: if I drop below 6 credits and I apply for the RAP plan, am I immediately placed on administrative forbearance until my application is reviewed? Do I call Edfinancial and tell them that I applied to RAP and then they place me on the administrative forbearance?
I know for sure I cannot afford an $800 payment lol. Some of my loans already used their grace period while others have not so I’m trying to see how to navigate this for the semester and save up for next semester. This way, I can go back into school deferment and save to pay for 6 credits in the spring.
Some more questions: Do all of my loans go into administrative forbearance while my application is reviewed for RAP? What happens to the loans that still have a grace period? Am I paying the loans that the grace period expired again through RAP and then getting a 6 month grace period for the rest?
