I have been screwing around with Codesys. I have a Balluff I/O link master I got connected.

I am pretty familiar with I/O link in Studio 5000 - where once you add the IODD file for the master and install it in the tree, you see all the process data in the controller tags.

I see if I double click the master in Codesys and go to Ethernet/IP I/O Mapping and enable the variable update I can see data - but don't seem to be able to write values like I can in Studio.

Does Codesys have a means to just type values into the outputs to mess with devices without writing a bunch of code?

I am looking for a camera that can do the "AI" detection of people like all the consumer (nest, ect) do, but I need something stand alone - meaning I can set up the detection in the camera and not in a larger PC based software, and I need to be able to have the presence of a person trigger a digital output I can tie into a PLC (industrial automation controller) input.

This is not a rated safety application. It's to trigger a warning buzzer. More of a reminder than anything functional safety.

Has anyone seen anything like this on the market or have a camera company they would recommend I check with?
