ok college students i need ur help fr 🙏

not gonna do a whole corporate speech, just need real advice.

i'm trying to get my crochet products in front of college crowds and gen z but i don't wanna be "that guy" doing cringe ads nobody asked for. i want it to actually feel like something you'd wanna check out, not skip.

so real talk —

where do you actually hang out online rn (insta? tiktok? discord? somewhere else?)

what makes a brand feel cool vs corny to you

ever seen a stall/event/collab on campus that was actually fire vs mid

any diy ways to link up with college societies/orgs

not trying to sell you anything rn, genuinely just want the tea from people who'd actually be the target audience. drop your honest opinions, even the harsh ones 😭

turned a "sunday hobby" into a business idea for underprivileged women, but i have zero clue how to market it 🧶👀

so this is kind of a weird story but stay with me —

i'm a law student (yes, unrelated 💀) and i randomly stumbled into this: there's a group of women who are actually insanely talented at crochet, but never had the platform or opportunity to sell what they make. so i started thinking — what if i built an actual brand around their work instead of it just staying "cute hobby no one sees"?

only issue: i know nothing about marketing or building a brand that gen z would actually care about lol. so genuinely asking —

what makes a small/handmade brand feel cool vs corny to you

what actually makes YOU stop scrolling and check out a brand's story

where do brands like this even blow up first (reels? tiktok? pinterest?)

any low-budget ways to get into college fests/societies as an outsider

does a "made by women who deserve the shot" narrative even land anymore, or is it overdone

not selling anything, just trying not to waste this opportunity by doing it wrong. brutally honest opinions encouraged 🙏

Non-DU student — can I set up a stall at DU fests/events? How do I get in touch with societies?

Hey everyone,

I'm not a DU student but I'm interested in setting up a stall at college fests/events on DU campus for pintresty crochet products

A few questions:

Is this allowed for outsiders, or is it restricted to DU students/societies only?

Do I need to go through a specific society or the fest organizing committee to get a stall?

Is there a fee or approval process for outside vendors?

If any current DU students or society members here can guide me or connect me with the right people, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks in advance 🙏

Should I buy this handmade crochet coin purse for ₹300?

Came across this little handmade crochet coin purse for ₹300 — has a really unique design (love the tiny cherry detail) and feels like a fair price for something handmade, but wanted a gut check before buying.

Is ₹300 reasonable for handmade crochet work like this? Also curious how well crochet coin purses hold up with daily use — do they keep their shape over time or stretch out? Anyone here own one and actually use it daily, or is it more of a cute decorative thing?

Would love to hear from anyone who's bought similar handmade pieces — good or bad experiences welcome!

how to execute my small bussiness plan?

I have a complete business plan with unique products, branding, and a clear vision for my women's-oriented aesthetic products business. I know what I want to sell and who my target audience is. However, I'm struggling with one thing: execution.

I don't know where to start or how to turn my ideas into a real business. There are so many moving parts—manufacturing, marketing, sales, branding, and operations—that I feel stuck despite having everything planned.

If you've built a business before or have experience launching a brand, I'd really appreciate your suggestions. What were your first steps? What mistakes should I avoid? Any practical advice on executing a business plan successfully would mean a lot.

Thank you!
