have to buy a bag for college soon, will i look out of place if i pull up with one of those tote bags?

and if i do carry a backpack, like apart from my laptop what else do y'all carry on a daily basis? just so i can get a hunch on what type of a bag to buy, thank you!

are there seperate seats reserved for pesu kcet merit list? or is it just the leftovers/surrendered seats of the jee merit list? can anyone explain the whole process of the pesu kcet counseling?
