Good price? Cafe ABS $8600 OTD

I found a new 2025 Vulcan S Cafe ABS at a dealer in Southern California. They’ll give it to me for $8600 OTD.

I think it’s a decent price, but I’m wondering if they’ll drop it even more toward the end of the month to hit their quotas.

What do you think? Take it now or wait it out? I’m not in a rush. I just want a great deal

Missing a bolt or just a space for position adjustments?

I’m thinking about buying a used 2024 Vulcan S Cafe with ABS. The seller sent me pics of the imperfections. One of them (yellow highlight) shows what appears to be a missing bolt.

I’m not mechanical, so I don’t know if the empty space is supposed to be there to allow for ergo fit customizations or if there really should be a bolt there.

The red highlight is the same location, just a different camera angle.

Should I be concerned about this?

Why Eliminator over Vulcan S or Rebel for a new order?

Edit: title is supposed to say new “rider” not “order”

I posted something similar in the Vulcan S sub, but I’d love to hear opinions from people who chose an Eliminator as their first bike.

I like cruisers and have narrowed my choices down to the Eliminator or Vulcan S (the Rebel 500 is a possibility, but I like the other 2 slightly more). Other than taking the MSF course, I have no riding experience whatsoever.

I'm in SoCal and will almost exclusively ride surface streets (lots of hills in my area) until I build up enough experience to try the freeway. I'm 47 years old. Not trying to break speed records. Just want to cruise and enjoy. I’ll also commute to work a few days a week (all surface streets).

If the Eliminator was your first bike ever, why did you pick it over something like the Vulcan or Rebel?

Why Vulcan over Eliminator or Rebel for first bike?

Shopping for my first bike, but other than taking the MSF course, I have no riding experience whatsoever.

I've mainly been looking at the Eliminator or Rebel 500 (I like cruisers), but it seems like several people in this sub chose a Vulcan as their first bike.

  1. If the Vulcan was your first bike ever, why did you pick it over something like the Eliminator or Rebel?
  2. As a complete newbie, how much harder is the Vulcan to safely learn on, maneuver, and handle the additional size and power vs. the Eliminator or Rebel?

I'm in SoCal and will almost exclusively ride surface streets (lots of hills in my area) until I build up enough experience to try the freeway. I'm 47 years old. Not trying to break speed records. Just want to cruise and enjoy.

Thanks for your advice.
