I just bought this m1917 bayonet and I'm wondering if you guys could tell me anything about it. It seems that it was sold to Canada at some point but is there anything that can be learned further about it like a date of production? Thanks for any information in advance!

Look at all this crap we pulled out of a school bus seat today some papers date back to 09
So I took my remmington model of 1917 to a gunsmith for a CLI (Clean lube and inspection) and the gunsmith said it was a no go on the headspacing and that I should go to an antique gunsmith in my area (this gunsmithwas over an hour away from me) #1 what would have to be done to correct the headspacing #2 does anyone know a good gunsmith in southern NC or northern SC? Thanks for any information you could provide.
Would this be a good overland vehicle as it would be my first one?
