Lost Weekend touches on a lot; grief, loss, trauma, complicated relationships, and trying to make sense of things that don’t always have an easy answer. Lost Weekend is officially out.
No more tracklist speculation. No more pretending we can tell what a song sounds like from its title.

This thread, however, is for release-day excitement, screaming, crying, throwing up, and generally being normal (Level: Impossible) about the fact that we have a new Phoebe Bridgers album.

The time has finally come: let’s talk about Lost Weekend! 🩵
With the Planetarium Experiences now underway and some fans getting their first chance to hear the album in full, we’re opening our official Lost Weekend album discussion thread a little early.
What are your first impressions? Which tracks immediately stood out? What surprised you? How do you feel about the sound, lyrics and production? And where do you think Lost Weekend sits alongside Stranger in the Alps and Punisher?
Whether you’ve just walked out of a Planetarium Experience or you’re coming back after your first listen on release day, this is the place for general discussion of the album as a whole.
There’s no right way to feel about a new album. You might love it immediately, need time for it to grow on you, or find that it isn’t what you hoped for. Positive, mixed and critical reactions are all welcome; just be respectful of other people’s opinions and give everyone space to experience the album in their own way.
Discussion and interpretation of Phoebe’s lyrics is welcome. Just remember that an interpretation is still an interpretation: please don’t present theories, rumours or assumptions about Phoebe or other people’s private lives as established fact, or let discussion of the music turn into speculation and gossip.
