Have not dug into the Little Oblivions remixes before, and was pleasantly surprised to see a Jesu remix of Favor. Justin Broadrick is another of my favorite musicians, so was cool to hear his guitar work and production aesthetic applied to one of Julien's songs
When I first started deconstructing, I was shown by a (friend at the time) Julien Baker’s music and her first record became a massive blueprint for me and was the first time I heard of any type of Christian ( at that time, I’m not sure where she stands rn with all of that.)
Talking about struggles with faith and her personal beliefs towards her sexuality. It opened my mind and became some of the most relatable lyrics I’d felt.
I’m 30 now and still have my flaws and issues, but it’s now been 10 years since I got out of it (Christianity)
And I was curious to know if anyone else felt the same or if her music also blew your mind and changed how ya started to view the world after hearing it?

Julien’s voice works so well in this style of music too! i love hearing her collaborations (also been having lost weekend on repeat lol). It truly feels like she can do anything n I cant wait to see whats coming next!
I found it sweet that apparently both TSL and Julien have been fans of each other for years, and that the song was initially titled “Julien Hopeful” 😭😭
also, does anyone here have any fave songs from The Saddest Landscape? Id love to check those out.
