I came up with a ridiculous idea, and thought it would be fun to share and try out more of the communities’ dumb build ideas.

As for mine, I remembered I have the game on both Steam and Switch. I decided to figure out how to play both at the same time. One uses a passive build based on Stormy Weather+Chain Lightning+Electrifying+Finisher+Claw stacks, the other runs around trying to protect the passive player. Every room I walk the passive player out to the middle, drop landmines (charged by Utrom battery), and switch over to the active player. While the gameplay controls are the same, the “confirm” and “cancel” menu buttons are flipped between Steam and Switch, which makes the whole thing unreasonably disorienting. After a few runs, I can safely say this is one of the dumbest ideas I’ve had with this game.

Does anyone know a way to avoid receiving Turtle powers in a run? I want to try a run completely without them, but it seems like the game forces one at the beginning, and at some point forces you to take more if you don’t have enough. Has anyone tried a run like this?

Has anyone noticed how rare tools have become in rolls since the Rat King update? I first noticed because I like getting a certain tool for a certain build, and I wasn’t getting it. So I started keeping count. 35 runs later and I STILL hadn’t rolled that tool! Okay, I thought, maybe they changed what triggers a tool (associated affinities)? So I started doing even more runs with different characters and different affinities. It turns out, the way they determine what tools roll didn’t change, but they definitely reduced the frequency of rolls with tool options. Since I started tracking, I average 1.66 rolls with a tool option in it (not necessarily one I want) every run. That’s way too few. I even had a few runs where I was never given a tool as an option. What do you all think? Is this balance or a bug?
