The platinum edition was 70% off on Switch, and I had a gift card, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Took me a little bit to figure out how it works, but I think I've got the idea.

The gameplay is really addicting, especially the stronger you get. Super satisfying.

Mikey is my pretty clear favorite. His movement feels really slick, and I like the AOE on his special. Right now I have a build where he has Astral Shield up whenever he uses Special, Tool, or Dash... so he basically has it up all the time lol. That plus a Wraith helper is making things go nicely.

Slash and Metalhead are fun to use too, in their own ways. Good stuff all around.

I came up with a ridiculous idea, and thought it would be fun to share and try out more of the communities’ dumb build ideas.

As for mine, I remembered I have the game on both Steam and Switch. I decided to figure out how to play both at the same time. One uses a passive build based on Stormy Weather+Chain Lightning+Electrifying+Finisher+Claw stacks, the other runs around trying to protect the passive player. Every room I walk the passive player out to the middle, drop landmines (charged by Utrom battery), and switch over to the active player. While the gameplay controls are the same, the “confirm” and “cancel” menu buttons are flipped between Steam and Switch, which makes the whole thing unreasonably disorienting. After a few runs, I can safely say this is one of the dumbest ideas I’ve had with this game.
