In a few weeks I’ll be visiting Reading after many years away. I went to university there and lived in the town for over seven years, but I have not been back at all since for at least a decade.

I’ll be with my partner and our 5 year old, both of whom have never been to Reading.

Obviously I have some ideas of where to go and what to show them, but I just wondered if there is anything new that I might not know about. Or maybe there is something I have forgotten!

An example of something that might interest us: are there boat trips on the Thames and are they worth it?
