I have used the Terravia Mini Hip Pack 1L for a few years now and it has been great.

However, I recently started fishing and the 1L is too small to fit a few of my fishing gear items. I would choose the 3L but it doesn't come with a sling. The 5L would be more than enough space to carry my fishing gear.

But is the 5L overkill, too bulky & heavy, and or a hassle to carry as an EDC?

Obviously, I wont have fishing gear when i'm not fishing. I usually carry my phone, wallet, knife, pepper spray, chapstick, keys, and airpods.

This is my only fanny pack, so don't have much insight on what its like to carry a 5L sling as an EDC.
