Driver drove around for hours without ending the ride
I had an older driver yesterday morning who dropped me off at my final destination without issue and then proceeded to drive around all day across Chicago without ending the ride. I contacted support multiple times during this period about the issue, and they said it would be taken care of once the ride was ended.
Fast forward to 8+ hours later, the ride ends, and my card is charged almost 500 dollars for a $30 uber ride. I then contacted support more times and every time they tell me they’re going to forward it to a “specialized team” that will contact me by email, and a few hours later I get a generic response saying they can’t adjust my price.
I am simply beside myself, this is the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced with Uber. I’m going to try to get ahold of someone on the phone today, but I genuinely don’t know what to do otherwise.
