What is your favourite word in Esperanto, using the wordbuilding system? (i.e. uses affixes)
Recently watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxxifHfCN8U which is a good example of what you might call 'Esperanto apologetics'. I thought he explained well why Esperanto is unique, in particularly regarding Zamenhof's genius regarding the word-builidng system. How with a limited number of root words and a collection of affixes, you can express almost anything.
As an example, he pointed out how a word like 'infinitesimal' can be directly translated into Esperanto as senfinecono. So literally sen + fin + ec + on + o (without + end + abstract concept + fraction + noun). Which is very elegant.
What are your favourite words in Esperanto which are constructed in a similar way? A few examples I quite like below:
Horzonozo for 'jetlag'. Uses the unofficial (albeit often-ish used among experienced speakers) suffix -oz- which means either a sickness, or being full / rich of something. So literally 'a sickness caused by too many time zones'
Fikriemulo for 'a nasty person who shouts a lot'. Literally nasty + shout + tendency + person + noun
Malsanulejo for 'hospital'. Basic one admittedly that everyone knows, but a good example. 'Place for unhealthy people'
Forĵetinda for 'worth throwing away'. Another simple one but fun to say
Retumilo for 'internet browser'. A tool for doing the web thing / tool for surfing the web
Fervojondo for 'roller coaster'. Doesn't directly use affixes, but a good example of word compounding. So fervojo being 'railway', given it is 'iron road'. Then 'ondo' being wave. So fervojondo being either 'iron road wave' or 'railway wave' which is expressive in a fun way
