Have any COLA transfers heard back today?
Specifically Government but yeah anyone in general?

Hey! I’m stressing a little waiting on my UT Austin transfer decision and wanted to see what y’all think my chances are 😭
I applied as a transfer after my freshman year at Sam Houston State University. I finished with a 3.81 GPA and submitted my spring grades after UT requested them.
Major: Government / Political Science pathway
Some of the things I included in my application:
- Accepted into the Honors College at SHSU
- Legal internship experience
- Teen attorney through a Teen Court program
- Internship/program experience through a local PD
- Founder of a social impact/community advocacy organization
- Strong interest in public service, law, and policy
- Extensive leadership + advocacy involvement
- Band student with heavy extracurricular involvement while balancing academics
I also explained some personal circumstances/adversity in my essays, including challenges navigating institutional systems as a student with a rare disorder and how that shaped my interest in law, equity, and advocacy.
UT requested my spring transcript recently, which I’ve heard can sometimes be a good sign, but I know nobody really knows for sure LOL
I put my second choice major as History but I heard they rarely consider it. Do y’all think I have a realistic shot? Especially for COLA/Government?
