Has anyone experienced paradoxical reactions when their ECS was medicated post surgery? We are in the US and ours had tooth and neuter surgery and was on gabapentin/trazadone initially post surgery. The combination was not enough to keep him calm and inactive though. The vet added acepromazine and after a couple of days with it on board, we saw distinct behavioral changes. We worked with the vet, removed the ace immediately, and limped through the last day or so of essential rest. Three days later the behavioral issue resolved, thank goodness.

We don't know if the behavioral issue was triggered by one drug or a combination of two or more. Unfortunately, we found out today he will need surgery on a problem unrelated to the first two. We are working with the vets to try to identify the trigger on the front end. Do any of you have experiences you can share that might be helpful?

Has anyone heard (as of 4:00 pm 05/07) if the Pine Mountain prescribed fire in Central Oregon has been declared a wildfire? Watch Duty (yes, I know) says it has converted the project to an active incident (first time I've seen that). The fire looks pretty vigorous and there is unexpected aviation activity overhead.

Hi. Our boy has to have some surgery and we need input on whether or not to try a surgery suit. We have used both a donut and a cone before. If you have a suit you like for your ECS, which brand did you get? We are in the US.
