2020, still finding new ways to suck

So before I even realized who Local H was, I was set to see them in concert.

The show got canceled and I never got to see them.

So not only did this concert get cancelled 2x on me, I also missed out on discovering a phenomenal band.

This canceled concert has been making misery for me for 6 years now.

Repost: rewatching the TPM

It’s been 5 years since I watched the TPM. I didn’t care for the prequels upon release, but after the clone wars show, and some of the supporting material, I gained an appreciation for ATOC and ROTS around ‘19 and loved them. But I still couldn’t jive with TPM.

Last night though, I was really enjoying it. I guess all the supporting material that’s come out since then, really helped support the film and I saw it in a better light.

There’s still some cringe dialog, but even Jar Jar wasn’t as abrasive as before. It’s still a bit too over the top, but it didn’t kill the enjoyment.

Anyways… it’s nice to come back to it and be able to get those goosebumps again. I saw it 5x in the initial run, but it really fell off my radar for a long time and the last few times I watched it, I took a few naps during those viewings. This time, I was riveted.

Repost due to headline confusion.

Will there be any Haslab this year?

I didn’t put a lot of thought into when we’d see a Haslab, I just assumed we would get one.

But, we are getting close to the dates when the GI Joe Snowcat started funding, and the Gunship followed a month later. But it’s crickets. We didn’t even get a refresh to order the Cantina 4 pack that sold out on day one. Usually a second batch pops up a few months later. But it’s almost been five months now.

So far, are there ANY rumors of a Haslab for Joe, Marvel, Transformers out in the world? I haven’t seen any but I really didn’t think too much about it. I just assumed it would happen soon enough.

My local toy shop owner thinks, we won’t see anything this year. And probably ever again.

I don’t know… Haslabs weren’t the best method for putting product out, but they were always interesting and worth considering.

Are there any legit sources saying we will or will not get anything from Haslab? The Tron Haslab failed spectacularly, was that the nail in the coffin?

I’ve owner my car since new from ‘07 to now. Next year, it’s 20 years. So I’m thinking, maybe it’s time to consider a new car.

So I went to the Honda dealer to just look at the latest model of my car. Not even a test drive. I just want to see one and see what I think.

I managed to escape in only an hour. But, Jeeze. An hour to just pull some keys and show me the only model of that car you have? At that, it’s used. Common.

The sales manager asked if there was anything the could do to get me into that car today.

Well no. It took me a year to find my current car. And showing me a used one with 49k miles, road rash on all 4 wheels, and skid marks in the passenger seat… lol. No, maybe call me if you get a better one in that color.

Oh, if I decide that I am going to buy a car… it’s going to be a fun year or so of car shopping.

For some twisted reason, I enjoy the process. They try to convince me and I get to say no. But ask me again next week.

Well, I really want to check out Toyota’s. I know the last time I went to a Toyota dealer, I got to say no for about 6 hours. Yet they kept trying.

It’s really just a game of seeing who is going to crack under the pressure.

I will give the last person that sold me a car a ton of credit. I talked to him twice. Did a test drive on the second visit, told him give me a call in the spring. He did one random day and I decided at that moment, yes, I’m going to make an offer and if he accepts; buy the exact car and option combo I want. He made it happen and I had a new car by that weekend.

I don’t know if this new generation of sales people have that kind of patience.

I’ve been admiring this thing since the OG release. Finding one marked down to $200… that is the price point where I had to get it.

It’s pretty amazing. The quality feels a little suspect, but the park exclusive toys always feel a little on the cheap side. But, that is what it is.

Just a heads up, AP or Disney visa discounts do not apply for the reduced price.
