Tips to look less messy after hair already dry.

This is my hair day after shampoo/conditioner, brush while wet then air drying without products. Don’t like the feel of products in my hair but willing to try again. Looking for tips how to make hair look less messy and more intentionally wavy the days following washing it. My hair takes a millennium to dry so wetting it in the morning prior to work is not ideal. Also, single mom so using hair tools in the morning currently is more effort/time than I am willing to spend.
