New POS updates for pharmacy

I absolutely hate the new updates. We had so many expedited prescriptions from the kiosk screens today. I don't know exactly how it works but prescriptions in-progress can be expedited from the kiosk. You don't even get the opportunity to give what is ready or check to see if you can fill the medication. The only way to bypass this seems to be if I type in the customer's information which defeats the purpose of having the kiosk.

Pickup etiquette

I wish there was a nice way to ask customers to not talk on the phone, especially on speaker, while picking up prescriptions.

I realized that 90% of what people come to the pharmacy and ask about can be seen or done in the app. Do I have refills? Can I transfer to a different store? I need to get a refill. Is my prescription ready? They can also update payment method on file, arrange for delivery and add all family members and pets.

For almost everything people ask me I'm starting to say that it can be done in the app.

Yesterday a customer transferred his prescription to our store while he stood at the register waiting for me to grab his medications. It's that easy. Why aren't people doing this?

I've decided to give a two week notice. The horrible treatment that we get from pharmacy customers/patients isn't worth the little pay. My physical and mental health are suffering with this job. I had enough after a woman complained that I wasn't trying to help her because her doctor prescribed a thermostat (thermometer) that I didn't give her. She was also missing ibuprofen which the screen clearly said was in progress. It's OTC as well as the thermometer. I'm not sure why people argue and complain about things that are easily available without a prescription. I can't keep being bullied by people who don't have common sense. I just clocked out and left early.
