Hi! Yesterday I came with my mom to work and we stopped by a sandwich shop on our way there. We got 2 bags of chips which we shared and I found out today that the exact size and flavors we got were recalled due to being potentially contaminated with salmonella.

I'm terrified but trying my best to stay optimistic- I'm really hoping I won't get sick since I have a lot of plans this week and next week that I don't wanna miss on top of having emetophobia.

If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it!

Earlier today I was in 6th period English and I was speaking to a friend within an earshot of my other classmate's conversation. I overheard him say that he was going home since he threw up. He said he believed it to be that he ate yesterday, but I know many instances of food poisoning are norovirus so I've been on-edge all day. On top of this I have a nail biting habit, and before I was aware of the situation I bit my nails whilst we were reading, and I'm unsure if I touched a surface he did beforehand.

I've been washing my hands between every period and before lunch ever since, but frankly I feel like the damage has been done.

Currently I'm extremely nervous and in need of support, is there any guidance anyone may offer?
