Going on a nostalgia trip with LBP right now
Even though I only ever got to play LBP3 and joined the community at a pretty late time (2016) the memories I have from this wonderful game are unmistakable. I got introduced to new aesthetics, new creativity, new beauty, and new happiness that made my life at that time so colorful and worriless. Had I not grown up with this game I wouldn't be reminiscing about my childhood right now. I just loaded up my PlayStation to find pictures, levels, DLC, and costumes saved from years ago and I just couldn't believe it's really been that long. It makes me happy to see the community still active and to know I'm not alone in this. What I love is that no matter when you joined or what you played or whether you even played or watched other people play you'd still understand just how LBP made you feel and still be so familiar with the wonderful community it's built over the years. This is one of the few games I truly never felt restricted or restrained by and I don't think any other puzzle-platformer game, that is, if there are many, could come close. I can only hope there's something in the future that brings those generations after us as much happiness.
