Our favorite occult boy/Jamila/Middle Tsunemaru is celebrating his birthday today ✨

I think his Jamila armor is the reflection of his internalize insecurity after Oinokami lose their throne, and on the latest chapter it was proven what a fragile armor it was. He was not a shaby goalie, I hope he got over his insecurity in the up coming arc soon and get his chance to shine ✨

I love Koito to death but I don't think I trust him with my car, my go to person at the store would either be Sugimoto or Tsukishima. The rest are shady or questionable at best 😆 but damn, would definitely stop by just for the eye candy.

I'm probably regurgitating what everyone is already thinking and saying around here about the current chapter but I just feel like sharing my thoughts about it.

Typical story progression of any sports manga obviously the main team wouldn't be winning or get good early, though in Oinokami's case they are already good to begin with (not the typical no name school trying to make their name known among the power housess) Next we're probably in for a long ride where everyone sort out their weaknesses. Tbh I'm not a fan of 'the training arc' the most recent memory of a boring training arc for me is reading Hinata of Haikyuu trying to get good, it was such a slog to read for me personally. I was impatient for the story to return to the matches and to the team in general.

Maybe I'm a bit biased based on how I love Golden Kamuy and how I like the way Noda-sensei treats and develops most of his characters, but in Dogsred case I'm already looking forward to the training arc. I don't care who gets the highlight, I love the team and individually Noda-sensei write interesting bunch of characters that's never boring to follow. I personally look forward to Rou finally managing his center of gravity 😆 and for Yota to shine.

My gripe about chapter 76 is how Yota was only given a couple of panels to highlight his weakness while big Genma literally have chapters to brood about his lol I understand Noda-sensei is working with the constraints of panels distribution, but I want to see more of that dumb Jamila :(

Also, I love the detail that Sarugaku's coach is looking like a delinquent he blends in with the thugs from Sekka High when he scout their game against Oinokami.

All of this is purely a personal opinion so you're very much welcome to agree or disagree ✨

A closer look on Jamila

Found the store while doom scrolling on Twitter. They were featured in Ch. 8. I included the address (the last pic of the carousel) just in case anyone wants to visit while in Hokkaido. They often host Dogsred themed events, they sell puck shaped cookies in collaboration with Dogsred, and their sherbet bread now have a manga chat bubble displayed beside them 😆

It's finally Rosshi-senpai 🩷

All the senpais are interesting characters but I really have a soft spot for Rosshi because along with big Genma they act like proud parents when they saw Rou's determination on practice and success on ice 😆 Also he's the guy who teach Rou how to do Supinamarada and the guy who assist Rou for his first official goal ever ✨

Dogsred had entered the top 100 chart at Manga+ since a couple weeks ago, if you happen to follow Dogsred there please help it push up the chart by leaving a relevant comment or two in the comment section. I sincerely believe Dogsred deserved to be in the top 10 with it's quality writing.

To commemorate the 100th's year anniversary of the team founding, Red Eagles Hokkaido (formerly Oji Eagles) will return the old jersey for one day at the season opener in 9/13.

The team was founded in 1925, they rebrand as Red Eagles Hokkaido in 2021.

I'm late to the GK fandom so by the time I learned about these babies it was sold out everywhere. A friend helped me get these, now they're safe on their pedestals 😆 maybe one day I'll get to complete the GK onemutan collection but for now I've secured my boys ✨

I have no problem with Gordon's potrayal of Ogata in the live action series. I personally find him very cute in and out of his costume but I'm not sure if he looked like the human Ogata I picture in my head. That is until I realized that he uncannily look a lot like Nendo Ogata. I think it's the eyes LOL

I 🫶 Gordon anyway, and if there ever be a Live Action adaption of Dogsred I hope he gets to potray Tsunemaru Yota 😸
