A question about this scene.

How did Ogata not die here after being shot by Tanigaki in the middle of the chest from a distance not far away? It is not clear and I was very surprised the first time I saw the scene ? but now after going back again my only guess is that the bullet apparently hit the scope as it appears in picture 2,but I am not sure if I am right

Tsurumis charm would’ve worked on me 💔

This is just a shitpost/discussion.

I personally think his manipulation would’ve worked on me and I would’ve ended up like Usami or something, always seeking his validation.

Like Tsurumi literally goes all out into manipulating these men💔.

JUST to make sure I’m not the only one, would it have worked on any of y’all too? Or am I alone in this..

How would you describe the gore in the manga?

Multiple people have told me Golden Kamyu would be right up my alley (I love Gintama & chest hair), but I have some reservations, since I haven't watched or read it before and get squeamish with gore.

The story obviously revolves around war, but how graphic do the graphic scenes get? You can describe specific scenes if you'd like, but without major spoilers please🙏

I'm most concerned about graphic eye/face/bone mutilation, heads exploding type of stuff and "grossness", while ordinary hunting scenes, katana slashing or gunshots don't upset me that much.

In terms of the level that's still tolerable for me, Chansaw Man (anime) was manageable (although uncomfortable to watch at times). Some scenes in JJBA were a bit too startling somehow and I had to stop reading it midway, but I really don't know what's up with that since Chainsaw man is supposed to be way gorier. Maybe it's the artstyle.

I'm a bit of a wimp, but would hate to skip a good series :')

**********

UPDATE: Just finished reading the first volume, and will be continuing! Thank you all for the advice!! The visuals did get pretty intense at times, but I think I'll manage. (although I haven't gone past the infamous bear scene yet...)

Wildcat Riding Shotgun

I got a new car a couple weeks ago (2026 Subaru Outback), and as one of my many personalizations to my new chariot, I added a lil’ wildcat to keep me safe on the road.

My husband calls him “Ogato” (Ogata + gato, Spanish for cat), and it’s honestly perfect.

I'll go first: Tsurumi.

This is my first time posting on this subreddit so I have strictly zero idea how well this is going to do, but I just finished making this for my GK Pinterest board and thought I might as well share it here too.

Angry Catboy Occupies Calendar. 🐾

Today (Wednesday 7/1/26) is the first day I can use my new Hobonichi Techo A5 Cousin planner!

This is my first Hobonichi planner, and I'm still trying to get a feel for how I want to format things. To kick off the first day, I figured I should include my favorite emo drama queen, Ogata. Angsty little babygirl. 😌

Does ogata really deserve better

i’m curious what everyone thinks about this because i keep seeing such mixed opinions on whether ogata actually deserved better or not

i was talking about this with a friend and we ended up on completely opposite sides so i’m curious to see where everyone else stands
