Ive been desperately applying left and right for employment in Austin and out of Austin after my job let me go in September and I am about desperate to do any type of work can someone help me out please! Ive tried all the hiring apps and going in person but im not hearing back!
Hi everyone I am normally not one to make a post like this since I dont go online about my personal business but at this point, I am desperate. My father who was for many years our main financial provider passed away two years ago, and it took a tremendous toll on my family, especially for my mom. I am 20 years old and at the time was attending college, but had to put that on hold to help my mom provide for the rest of my siblings. We did end up losing our family home unfortunately, and having to just move around from place to place and are still struggling to keep a roof overhead. That being said most of our items were in a storage unit. I unfortunately lost my job at the beginning of this year and have been struggling to find one as most people are in the world right now, and since then my mom has been struggling to provide even more on her own and keep things afloat.
Recently me and my family lost our storage unit at Public Storage in Buda, TX. Although my mom tried not showing it the day I told her we no longer had access to our items. She just cried and said she felt like a failure for not being able to provide for me and my siblings, and it genuinely broke me because I have never seen her this low in life even growing up when we struggled. The material items were not important in the storage unit What was important was us not being able to grab our photos and personal documents and when I tried calling to ask about it, I was told that whoever bought our storage unit in auction it is suggested they bring personal items like that to turn in, but they don’t have to. I was just wanting to know if anyone had any more information on what I could do or even better whoever bought the storage unit if they’re willing to meet up so I can at least retrieve those belongings. This would be our second unit that we’ve lost since our dad passed away. Any advice and help is greatly appreciated, we’re struggling as it is right now as I understand most people are, but I would really appreciate it if someone could point me to the right direction. ☹️
