hey so it’s the guy who couldn’t figure out how to mount any accessories to my Sony FS7 mark ii (this being my first real camera past my iPhone). I completely forgot to include pictures of what I was talking about so people had no idea how to help me. My bad, that was dumb. Below I’ve attached some photos to give more clarification as to what I’m having trouble with. There isn’t too many tutorials online about building a rig with this camera, and seeing how it’s my first camera, I’m completely lost with attaching anything, even the monitor. Without the monitor, I haven’t been able to use the camera at all.

Couple things to note: the picture of the square shaped bar that’s attached to the grip thing that looks like it attaches to another rod.. the small lever that used to tighten the EMPTY hole doesn’t work. I’ve put one of my 15mm rods in it, tried tightening it, and nothing. I assumed that was the way to mount my monitor to the camera, but I can’t figure that out.

Next is the baseplate? I think? I can’t figure out how to attach any of my smallrig stuff to the base of my camera. Couldn’t find anything online about that either. It’s all hieroglyphics. Same goes with literally every other accessory I have.

I know that the monitor doesn’t mount on like that lol, but it’s the only thing I could do as of right now

I know I’m gonna look very dumb here, but that’s okay. I’m willing to myself look like an ass if it means i’ll finally be able to use my camera. any help is appreciated.

I also have a smallrig x potato jet tripod that isn’t pictured. haven’t even unboxed it yet cause I can’t figure out how to get a baseplate on this thing

EDIT: i do have the extension arm that came with the camera, totally forgot to include that in my initial post. looks like i’m missing the bar that slides into the built in top handle that connects the LCD monitor that can with the camera

EDIT 2: I also have the thing that holds the boom mic, and its clamp. Just missing the second square(ish) rod.
