I recently bought this shawl and I'm in love with it. However, I thrifted it and I wash all clothes I thrift as soon as I get home. The care tag is impossible to find and I didn't find it until after I had washed it and spent over an hour untangling the tassels. I'm really scared that I ruined it, the tassels specifically. The shawl took a little damage on it but nothing crazy. How can I fix the tassels?

I turned it inside out and washed on a gentle cycle, in a mesh laundry bag with gain detergent, cold water.
