Hello, we are Visa TD Aeroplan Privilege Infinite holders.

We are usually travelling on basic fares since we have benefits with our card.

I know that basic fare doesn’t include a carry on baggage. But on Air Canada page, it used to state the premium Aeroplan credit card holders could still bring a carry on. See screenshot.

However, that web page has been updated recently. And there’s no more mention about exceptions. https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/plan/baggage/carry-on.html

We are flying to Costa Rica in March 27.

I also know that my credit card gives me zone 2 boarding zone. So it should be ok.

Just wondered if anyone experienced bringing a carry on bag on a basic fare to a destination that doesn’t include it, recently.
