Fashion girlies level 4+, I have a rec for you! Ana Gomez Gar!

This woman makes fashion videos! I am definitely ahead of my level 3 and I can understand her pretty well. Definitely a lot of words/phrases that I miss but she has

  1. Great audio equiptment

  2. Focused topics always on fashion

  3. "Easier" accent to understand (I know this is subjective)

I am really enjoying her videos and you might too!! <3

Love u all bye

Video Content requests??

  1. Can anyone recommend some gym girl Spanish content on YT? I like Lara Ibarra and am looking for something similar, maybe from LATAM. A lot of native content is still out of reach for me but I sometimes try to watch something if I'm interested enough.

  2. I know that Andrés sometimes views the sub and I am just putting it out there that personally (personally!) I am interested in health/gym content from frankly anyone on the DS team, but especially Andrés since he has previously posted gym related content. I have watched most or all of the health related content on DS and I would love to see more made in the intermediate range. It is my second special interest (Spanish + Gym are tied).

If anyone can recommend WOMEN that do "What I eat in a day," "Gym routine" or healthy, girly lifestyle related content, I would love to hear them!

My dad and I went to visit my grandma in San Antonio this weekend. We are Mexican, but we were all raised with practically no Spanish. My dad and I are actively learning Spanish in preparation for an Argentina trip in October, but taking vastly different approaches. He is going the Duolingo route, and I'm doing Pimsleur 1+ times a week and at least 45 minutes of DS daily (usually more!) When we got to the airport for our San Antonio trip, I put on some Dreaming Spanish for us. I started with Augustina's new video "Must Watch Movies for Spanish Learners" which was a bit hard for me with all of the random movie plots, but still around 70% comprehension. My dad... was getting frustrated. Then we watched the Naomi Campbell Rude Review (goated series) and I honestly got about 95% of it. My dad was still lost, but at least I got to show him some of my favorite beginner ones (Like Shel's therapy skits). He is now telling me that he wants to get the premium DS.

Later, my dad was bragging to my grandma about how much Spanish I'm picking up. He spent the trip asking me "What is this word? What's that word?" and I was surprised at how much I effortlessly knew. My grandma put on a telenovela for us and we were all struggling, but laughing and translating anything we could "She just said, 'it hurts!'" "She just said, 'I did it for love!'" But honestly, I am so proud to say that I knew a significant amount compared to my grandma and dad who have been casual life long learners. Meanwhile, though I'm not a speedrunner, Spanish is a consistent daily ritual for me and I can see it paying off in real time.

I love that I can brag in this sub because I want to reiterate how much this works. While Pimsleur is great and I use it for a reason, I am extremely dedicated to DS and after using it for exactly 194 days, I have made more progress with this program than anything else I have ever used before.

I love this sub and all the encouragement it brings!! Best of luck to you all, I will see you all at level 4!

I work for my family clothing business and I would love to hear some honest feedback and ideas about what's missing for men right now. My BF loved YoungLA and is now super into WKR. He loves compressions and fitted tank tops. Those seem to be the style for men at the gym. I'm just curious if any of you wish something was being made in men's activewear that the current giants (Gymshark, YoungLA, ALO, etc) are still missing the mark on.
