München oder Freising?

Hey, I’m (25 M) starting my masters in October at TUM, but the campus is in Freising. And I wanted to get advice on where I should settle with housing - Freising or rather Munich?

In Freising I will obviously be closer to the uni, maybe walking distance. A big benefit is also that rooms might be cheaper. And from time to time, I can go to München for outings.

OR I can live in München and enjoy the city life. But housing will be more expensive and I will have to commute to Freising for classes.

Having no such experience, I really wanna ask what could be better. Please share your thoughts 🙏🏻

Guess where I’m from based on the countries I’ve visited

Some of these posts are so random or so specific that I don’t get the logic behind the guesses. But still curious about the thinking process of people trying to connect the dots here, so I would appreciate if you also mention WHY you think I’m from this or that place :)

Which degree should I go for?

I got admitted to two TU Munich programs - MSc Sustainable Resource Management and MSc Bioeconomy. I have prior experience working in the development cooperation for international organizations.
My plans are to continue this career, specializing in climate adaptation,
—— or maybe get into corporate sustainability.

Does anyone here know if any of these degrees at TUM is better than the other? Or if you have any idea what could help me more for career plans above, would appreciate advice 🌼

Not impressive profiles of MSc Bioeconomy graduates

Most of them on LinkedIn are interns or short term consultants of 1-2-3 years after graduation. Doesn’t seem convincing. Is the program worth it?

Studying Econ - which city

Hi all! I am an international student planning to do my master's in Germany.

Want to hear honest opinions on where you would choose to study MS Economic Policy - Potsdam, Leipzig, or Koln (Cologne)?

Having chances for building a good network with professionals from development NGOs and think thanks and post-graduation career prospects are important aspects for me. Danke!
