Sat on fort Pickens road for 2 hours didn’t move an inch. Certainly one way to make people want to never again come to the beach for 4th of July.
Not like I’m some super salty sailor, I was previously type 2 sea duty and did my one and only deployment on a ship a couple years ago, and I think just the hum of the ship like chemically altered my brain to require white noise to fall asleep now
Now when I sleep I absolutely NEED to have a fan, or something else running that emits a constant low frequency noise, and I do gotta say, that will put me right to sleep so good, and it’s also funny because recently I’ve been staying in a hotel on TDY and sometimes the ac unit will turn off and I will wake right up as soon as the white noise ceases which is so strange to me but really highlights how much I need it to fall asleep.
I’m tagging it as a happy sailor because this fact does make me reflect joyfully on one of the highlights of my deployment in that I consistently slept so freaking good on the ship like nothing else ever.
