Dining Recommendations!

Hey, y'all! I'll be visiting with my family next month, and I'm looking for dining recommendations for a date night for my wife and me. I'd like to take her somewhere nice. No chains. I searched around and found Brother Fox, which looked different and interesting - I went ahead and booked a reservation, but we are open to changing that up. Send me any of your recommendations!

Also, anything to do or places we should go before/after dinner would be great as well! TIA!

HVAC crawl space duct work recommendations??

Last week I had a company come out because I noticed my house was extremely humid and mold was starting to grow inside. AC is cooling house, but is running constantly which is to be expected in this weather. Guy came out, never went under house but could feel cold air coming out of crawl space vents. Said the company would be back Monday to go under house - but they never showed up and now tell me they don’t know when it’ll be. Meanwhile I have three dehumidifiers going which are filling up around every 3 hours and mold is exploding and I’m feeling sick. Is it just the norm - having to wait for a company to come back and address the problem? I’m worried my house is going to be full of mold, that I’m going to feel sicker and that this will end up costing me more in long wrong because problem isn’t being asdressed. Can anyone recommend a company that will come out fast? Thanks.

Walk Down Memory Lane

I remember when I was a kid, my mom would take me to this Cafe that was located in Cordova mall at one of the department stores on the second floor. It was either Dillards (Gayfers) or Belk (Parisians). They sold sandwiches, salads, tea etc. It kind of reminded me of Jo's as always. It shut down later in the 90s I believe, but I can't think of the name. Does anyone else remember this restaurant?

Anyone have an urologist?

Due to some complications from a hernia surgery an a trip to the ER I had a diagnosis of Funiculitis. My current urologist cant see me till the end of September. I feel like with someone who has a history of these type of issues should not need to wait a month after an ER visit to see the doctor, so I'm going to switch. Though, I don't have the best of luck picking doctors, as my first urologist was the guy that got busted with meth and an Asian prostitute.

Results/ Mayoral Race

The results are in.

Reeves is Mayor (again) with 53% of the vote.

* With a vote win majority of 53% (50% plus 1 vote threshold), no run off will happen.

Controversial opinion, but outback fettuccine Alfredo is better than Olive Garden fettuccine Alfredo

Outback is more expensive but at the same time it’s also better quality it feels like! That’s just my opinion when choosing between the two in Pensacola it’s rough but outback wins will it give me food poisoning sure but ties good!

Any meet-ups/events this Friday?

Hi everyone! I really, really want to go out this Friday just to refill my social meter but there doesn't seem to be anything on Friday that would be good to meet new people. I don't have anyone to go with that's available so hopefully there's something that's friendly to someone going alone. I saw that there's Gallery night, but I'm a 25F and have never gone to anything like that alone which makes me scared to go just by myself 😅 I love all kinds of music (except Country) and play a few instruments so if there's any amateur musician nights or local artists playing that I somehow missed in my searches please let me know! Thank you!!!!

Visiting Pensacola mid Oct

We are scheduling a Pensacola trip for mid-Oct with our dog.

We have researched the area but still have only basic knowledge.

What should we know, in terms of navigating the city, clothes to pack, weather, beaches, traffic, good seafood, safety, etc?

The goal is having fun with the dog in and around Pensacola and the nearby area (Highway 30A). If you have any local insight regarding dog-friendly places (beaches, restaurants, etc) then we would be very appreciative.

For example, I recently learned that many beaches from Pensacola to Rosemary Beach do not allow dogs.

Thank you in advance for any insight.

Pensacola lost a hidden gem today

Fuji sushi has been my husband and I’s favorite spot for a long time now. We are regulars there and eat there every chance we can. When we found out that it is closing tomorrow we were devastated, so we went to enjoy it one last time.

The people who work here and own the place are great people who don’t deserve the end they got. They are good honest hardworking people.

All this to say, SUPPORT LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES! They are what keeps Pensacola unique and fun!

Office chairs for sale

Anybody know of a shop or liquidation sales that go on around here for offices? I’m looking for a good office chair for home and don’t want to spend a grand for a steelcase.
