I'm not Muslim; sorry if I use any terms wrong/please correct me!
I was going to my local grocery store, which is run by a Muslim woman. When I (a man) walked in, the store was empty except for her. She had her hijab off and her hair down. When she saw me, she put it back on immediately, looking really embarrassed. I looked away once I realized, but it took a second, and by that point she'd almost put it back on again.
I felt awful for making her uncomfortable, but I wasn't sure what to say, so I just acted like nothing happened. Was that the right move?
