Jetstar lost my bag and will not compensate (no insurance) part two

I’m using text to speech to say this because I can so don’t come at me for for not using correct punctuation and when I went to the airport checked my bag and it went through the security. It had to go through. We’re waiting to board the plane and we get told the flight is cancelled. They said everyone go to carousel number 4 to collect your bags. I was the first person there and the last person there because my bag did not come out so I went and reported it straight away to lost and found and they said oh yeah it probably got stuck on the conveyor belt somewhere. We’ll have it on the next flight to Adelaide. well guess what? They did not have it on the next flight to Adelaide because they could not find it. Jetstar is then claiming for CCTV camera footage from the airport carousel four which the police or airport will not assist me with and the police said the airport CCTV footage gets deleted every two weeks to a month and they are not going to help me get compensation. I’ve told Jetstar this and they keep dragging it out saying no no no you need the camera footage to make sure you didn’t steal it or someone didn’t steal it and on top of that I paid $35 for the extra baggage and that was the one that got lost so don’t start saying why would you not get travel insurance because I’ve never got travel insurance and I’ve never lost my luggage before this even bags bigger than the bag I had they’ve never lost and I’m asking everyone for advice. I’ve even reported to the acc and they won’t help me. The police officer would not even give me his badge number when I asked it from him and I’m just posting this so I can get advice on what to do. It’s not my fault that Jetstar lost my luggage and realistically. I don’t even wanna have to pay for a court case to take it that far and if I do that will be paying for the court case and the compensation they owe me on top of that so I’m asking you all for advice and if it’s happened to you and what did you do and did you get your bag back?

Jetstar lost my bag and will not compensate

Jetstar lost my bag at Sydney Airport on 14 April 2026. I had my bag checked in but my flight got cancelled and they said everyone go to the carousel to collect your bag. My bag never showed up. I was the first and last person standing there so I reported it instantly once it never came out and they said oh yeah, it probably got stuck it will be on the next flight to Adelaide and sent to your house. Well guess what? That never happened so I’ve gone everywhere reporting it. Even a current affair has not responded to me yet. It’s been just about over three months Now and I’m taking this publicly because if I have to pay for a lawyer I will and they will be covering the expenses as well so instead of them compensating $1887 they would be compensating more than that because if I have to get lawyer they will be paying for the legal fees when I win the case and the compensation they owe me and on top of that they wanted CCTV footage from the police to get from the airport which the police refused and said we’re not getting it and it’s probably been deleted so what can I do? I’m currently living in South Australia not in New South Wales.
