Am I okay? or not?
Okay so to start it off I was 17-18 when this happened.
I had gone to my maternal family's house and there's a small and really old pool in front of the house. The pool was always hidden by all the bushes overgrowing on it. But the local govt. had cleaned it up just 2 days ago.
I had heard about the pool long ago. From my mother. When she was in 10th standard (16yo) she had once looked in the pool in the afternoon alone. Then she had gotten possessed by a spirit. Most probably a 'samandh' basically the spirit of an evil guy who died a death full of resentment. After that she sometimes used to act like a man and the episodes grew from simple acting to walking and even totally behaving like a man. They first took her to a psychiatrist and it worked at the start but then rebounded in even worse ways. So they did some ritual which helped her.
Yeah so I never knew this pool was exactly that one. Then one day I visited a barren well they have in their land. Supposedly they used dynamite during mining which angered the local spirits who then moved the water vein making it barren and cursed. Then one worker died during the mining by falling inside. A bull also once did the same and some other small animals too. After I came back from there (again I did not know it was supposed to be cursed at the time of visit I learned about this like after another year) I kept seeing a child in our bedroom. Initially sitting next to an old trunk and that child appeared to be coming forward each day. Untill one day it went inside me.
Then onwards I became interested in not only reading but also writing ghost stories. Many told by the child. Like it was supposedly a curse cast by one of my grandfather's cousins by sacrificing their own son. It was supposed to hurt my maternal grandpa. Who was going to have a second son after the first daughter but instead had my mom who should've been his twin.
The child also had some more quirks like it used to say the grass in our college is haunted and used to make fun of some dogs who smiled like humans.
It was also extremely annoyed by rain. One day when roaming with my friends we had went to a beach in summer and we unexpectdly met with a really heavy rain and full of fog. Then that child suddenly leaped out from me and went out into rain and vanished. Untill one random it came back and went inside me.
It also said that my mother thinks they only sacrificed a ghost to remove the samandh but in reality the exorciest used it to transfer the curse to an unknown girl who is also after my maternal family except he had taken care of her.
I had also once crushed a really small skull(I thought it was bird and then was haunted by a child and an old woman )(most probably grandma and grandson) At that time too this child had supposedly taught them a lesson and made them go away.
Now I am a man of science and I beleive these are some kinds of psychotic episodes so please make it make sense to me. Like the child is some kind of schizophrenia.
