need help with a pokemon gift (im not into pokemon)

(tried to post in the pokemons subreddit but wasnt able to)

hello all! i am not really into pokemon myself, but my older brother is and his birthday is coming up (he’s about to be 26), so i wanted to get him something pokemon related for his birthday. i messaged his best friend, whose he’s on discord calls with constantly, about present ideas and we finally settled on a fake taxidermy Scizor (im so sorry if i spelled that wrong) from etsy that we think he’d like!

i just got in a mail the fake taxidermy Scizor, but i was thinking about getting some small things to give him as well, i just don’t know where to start honestly. the seller also sent a free Japanese Ariados card with my order, so i know i want to get a card sleeve for that, so that it doesn’t get damaged, even if he doesn’t keep it. i was also thinking about getting a pack or two of cards for him to open, but wanted to come here for some more ideas!

also — i’ve seen a few people selling gym badges, but there seem to be a lot of different gyms. is this like a “pick you gym and stay with it, earn all their badges” thing or is it like a “earn EVERY badge at EVERY gym” thing? i have absolutely no knowledge of pokemon, so i’m so sorry if this sounds dumb or anything. i am simply a curious little sister trying to understand stuff to maybe make her brother smile.

starting my first home library!

hello all! i moved in with my boyfriend about a year ago now and we recently turned our guest bedroom into a home library, since dont usually have company over. i really just wanted to post on here and also ask — does anyone know good ways to thrift books online? i’ve been scouring ebay, but dont really know what i’m doing a lot of the time and have a huge list of books i want to try to thrift, so any tips/suggestions are appreciated!

side note: i feel like i could also be doing a bit more for my home library, but also.. don’t really know where to start, so if anyone has any suggestions on that, too 😅

thanks in advance!
