Just the other day, while rewatching 'The Cube' episode, I got emotional knowing how Meg and Paul were affected during the shoot. And now I read this. Officially NO spinoff, guys 😕💔😭

Season 5 finale podcast

I don't know how many of you listened to the official finale podcast where Hannah was a guest, but I just finished it and noticed something astonishing... she didn't mention Jean even once! Given their incredible onscreen and offscreen chemistry, why would she do that? Maybe it's a coping mechanism, or perhaps she deliberately wanted to avoid reliving the heavy emotions of shooting that episode. Whatever the reason, I was honestly taken aback. I really hope everything is good between them!

Season 4... Emmy Thoughts

So, I was recently watching Season 4 of Hacks and realized it didn't win the Emmy for Best Comedy Series that year... The Studio won instead. I haven't watched The Studio yet, but now I want to check it out solely because it beat Hacks!

I know people had mixed reactions to Season 4, mainly due to the extreme tension between Ava and Deborah until about episode six. But rewatching it now, I genuinely feel it’s the spiciest season of the entire series. It strikes such a great balance of intensity, emotion, drama, and suspense. Plus, the LA setting and the late-night television background made the whole premise so much more engaging. I can only imagine how challenging and chaotic this season must have been for the writers and actors to shoot.

Going back to my original thought: for anyone who has watched The Studio, is it actually good, or is Hacks STILL better?

The Avorah Drama

Re-watching Hacks and I have a hot take: Is Ava totally obsessed with Deborah? 😅 We call this show a "love story about an imperfect friendship," but halfway through Season 3, all I see is Ava making major sacrifices and going the distance just to be with her... even after everything toxic they've been through. I mean, I don't see any real feelings or efforts from Deborah's side. It's like a one-sided love affair so far. What do you guys think?

Rewatching Hacks

So now that the show is done, I have started rewatching the series. A good 5 years have passed since then, but as I am watching, I'm noticing that several callbacks were made, especially in the last season, and how the writers have consciously made things come full circle for many of them. For example, in the first episode, Ava says that she is a 'fan' of Deborah's work (when she clearly didn't know anything), and by season 5, she says, 'I am your number 1 fan.' I mean, as much as the characters were endearing, the writing was equally good... if not the real star of the show. I am sure I will discover more such instances... Would love to hear from the Hacks fam about any similar experiences 🙂
