I’m 17F, and my hair has been thinning since 2024. I’ve been to a dermatologist, took the medications I was prescribed, but honestly, nothing made a noticeable difference.
I have PCOS, and I used to be overweight, but I’ve lost around 9 kg.
My mom had really thick hair when she was my age, but now she’s in her 50s and has significant hair thinning/female pattern hair loss, so I’m worried genetics might also be playing a role.
My hair got much worse around January 2026 because I was under extreme stress and dealing with severe depression. Things are better now, and I’ve been trying to take better care of myself.

Increasing my protein intake
Oiling hair
I can see a few baby hairs, which gives me a little hope, but overall I’m still so sad and insecure, everyone around me has good hair :(and it’s really affecting me. I’ve been trying to fix this for almost 2 years, and it’s honestly exhausting.
