Would you rather

Would you rather work with a supportive supervising physician or group of APPs?

Currently deciding between jobs and the team is definitely something that is important to me. Would y’all rather have a supportive group of APPs at work with attendings who more or less dont care about APPs, or have an attending who cares and loves to teach with a team of APPs who are nice but arent as close with?

Edit: i forgot to add that I’m asking bc I’m a new grad

Anyone get their first PA job from rotations?

And if so, did you have to go through a formal interview process? What steps of the hiring process were different?

Paying off school loans

Just graduated in May and have not had a job offer yet. I know that it takes a while and am hoping to work as an MA in the meantime. Did yall wait until starting work as a PA to pay off school loans? Idek where to start paying off this huge amount of money, like should i attempt to start paying it off with my MA income or wait until i get paid as a PA? I’m very new to this and unprepared so any help is much appreciated!

Truly rejected?

In a very confusing situation and it’s the weekend so I need some explanation/possibilities. I applied for 2 positions, GI and IR (healthcare under same hospital system). Ended up interviewing for IR only and was told to expect a response by 8/7. This wednesday, I received a rejection email from a recruiter on Wednesday specifically for the GI position. But when I look at my application status on Workday, GI says under consideration while IR says no longer under consideration. What are the chances that they accidentally changed the status of the IR position instead of GI? Or could they have meant rejection for IR in the email? Please share your thoughts

New grad salary expectations

I have a phone screening interview with a recruiter from a hospital (IR) in Chicagoland area and am prepping for that. Looking at the AAPA salary report for IL, which percentile should I look at when setting my salary expectations? I just don’t want to look like I’m asking for too much, but I also don’t want to lowball. What is the minimum hourly I should expect as a new grad?
