Experiencing EV ownership

Hey all, apologise if this has been asked before but i’m unable to find anything around this.

We’re currently in search of our next car (will be a used car) and was wondering, is there a way to fully experience EV ownership without committing and purchasing one?
Like somewhere that does a rental or lease for a week or two or even a month with all relevant accessories eg charger.
That way we can experience it and see if it would suit our needs and lifestyle.
I’ve checked a few mainstream car rental companies such as Budget and Go rentals but it appears the EV’s are fully booked for the next few months?
We’re located in Wellington.

Thanks in advance

Hi all, apologies if this is a silly question or the wrong place to post.
I’m currently looking at purchasing a car, potentially an EV.
Just looking for some advice as to whether my house electrical components will be suitable for an EV.
It’s an older house with i assume the original wiring throughout. There is a detached garage that is approx 20 years old.

Pic 1 is of the main switchboard in the house of the garage rcd?
Pics 2 & 3 is the electrical box and switches inside the garage.
Pic 4 is the 3 pin (10A?) outlet in the garage.

I guess my main questions are

  1. If suitable, at what charge speed/rate can i expect?
  2. If i wanted to install a faster charger, could that be done in the garage? Or will i need to upgrade house wiring?

Thanks in advance!
