Is 40% of calories from wet food enough to see benefits?
Hi all - I adopted my first ever cat about 6 weeks ago and have done a lot of research on her diet. She is a healthy 2-3 year old girl at an ideal weight who has eaten almost everything offered. I have been trying to determine the best mix of foods that has an ideal balance between whats best for her health, my budget, and my schedule. I feed based off ideal calories for her vs just serving sizes on the packages
What I’m trying to understand is whether getting 40-45% of her daily calories from wet food is enough to see the benefits? I understand that an 100% wet food diet would be ideal, but this is not going to be possible due to budget and scheduling restraints. I am feeding her a grain free pate style wet food, and she is getting Purina One dry food. I’m also open to recommendations for dry food and wet food that is the high quality for the price.
Thank you!!!!
