Will working at a Skilled Nursing facility limit my chances of getting a hospital job one day?

My first nursing job was at a skilled nursing facility. I still work there. I was wondering if it’s true that hospitals look down on nurses who worked at SNFs? I know this sounds odd, but I saw someone comment this on a post and it scared me, since my goal is to work at a hospital one day.

Can CNAs apply zinc oxide ointment?

Someone at the clinic I work at told me that they shouldn’t do that cause only RNs can apply topicals, but isn’t it an OTC and part of routine care?

How to protect my license working at a SNF?

I got hired as an RN at a SNF , and I’m terrified with the comments on the internet that say that’s the easiest place to lose your license. This would be my first nursing job ever, and I really don’t want that to happen. I consider myself a very responsible and dedicated person but I lack the experience in the field.
Any tips aside from the general ones on how to protect my license working at a SNF?

It’s going to he night shift and they advised me to only call the doctor if it’s a true emergency, and that they have pre approved orders for medications like Tylenol and Zofran. It’s going to be me and another experienced RN, who is going to train me.

For those of you working at a SNF or those who have worked in one

What are the most common conditions and procedures I should expect at one? I might possibly get a job at a skilled nursing facility and this would be my first nursing job, so I want to review some of the things that might be helpful refreshing my mind on, that I can prepare myself in the best way I can to be a successful nurse.
Thank you so much.

How is the job market for healthcare professionals in El Paso?

For nurses in particular. Thinking of moving to El Paso from South Texas, and wondering how’s the job market over there? Is it easy to find a job?

Do dialysis facilities hire new grads?

Specifically one who has 2 year resume gap ? Due to some complicated personal situation I was unable to work since I graduated. And I’m looking for a mon-friday job as I have a toddler and she goes to daycare. I’m in Texas for reference

No experience in field. But I have a toddler who would need to go to daycare and working a 12 hour shift would make things complicated, especially since I’ll be a single mom soon ( in the middle of a divorce). Based in Texas for reference.

New grad here. No work experience in the field, but I have a toddler and little to no support system. Day cares are open until 5 or 6 pm at most.

I was wondering if there’s any jobs for new grads with day shifts Monday through Friday. And if that could be negotiable with your employer. Texas based.
