I think this is a non-issue. Personally, I haven’t bought a physical CD in about 10 years. But statistically the production of physical media is too damaging to the environment to justify companies continuing to make CDs just because people want them. If anything the fight needs to be with licensing and ownership completely, not fighting to get companies to keep producing millions of units of plastic that everyone doesn’t even use.
Hey people, I’m A 30 y/o Dad/studying for med school, and lifelong gamer, I’ve been mostly a PlayStation/console gamer my whole life, but I don’t have a lot of time in front of the tv anymore. I’m buying myself an X for my birthday, and I just wanted some recommendations for games, because I know Steam and Pc gamers have a huge array of games I haven’t been able to get into. I couldn’t afford a good PC as a kid, now that I can afford a Pc I don’t have the space, or time to sit down and play.
