My wife just got a car with a matte finish and everyone says you shouldn’t take it through an automated car wash because it’ll damage the finish. Is there a car wash in town that you would recommend for her?

I have a relatively capable all-wheel drive vehicle and I’d like to take it off road to see how well it does. It did pretty well on the snow and ice this past winter, so I thought it’d be fun to find some challenging dirt/gravel roads.

I drive a ‘24 Subaru Crosstrek. It’s got 8” of clearance, so no rock climbing, deep mud or riverbeds
