Feels like a cruel trick from the universe

38/PMOS diagnosis 1 year post partum, which was 3.5 years ago.

Got a late diagnosis in my mid thirties as it appears pregnancy “triggered” latent PMOS. Gained 60 lbs and despite constant exercise and healthy eating (plus inositol, spearmint tea, blood tests, endo, pcp - all the things), I couldn’t get a handle on any symptoms particularly not the weight gain.

I went on Zepbound about a year and a half ago and felt it was truly a miracle. Lost most of the weight within a healthy time frame. Was with my sister one day and she looked at the back of my head and said “you know you’re completely bald, right?” Between juggling what was now 2 toddlers, I hadn’t noticed any shedding, but it was SEVERE. I immediately went to the derm who did a pull test and said it likely was not due to the GLP (passed the pull test but found in biopsy androgenetic alopecia). But I trusted my instincts and went off the GLP. With blood, sweat and a lot of tears shed in the haircare aisle of Ulta, plus high dose oral and topic minoxidil and a careful regimen, my hair is in much better shape, but with a lot of bad days. No more bald spot.

Meanwhile, a year after this, the weight issues continue. I caved and asked my endo if I could try Foundayo. After 1 single week, my hair was falling out in handfuls. I joked with her that I’m allergic to GLP-1s and went off immediately.

I’ve started trying metformin, berberine, glucora, etc with my normal very healthy routine and inositol, but I just keep ballooning. It feels like I am not allowed to have the one thing that can help me. One problem leads to another.

Would love any insight or guidance.
