Hindu Kush 3 wks into Flower... wish me luck

Battling heat, humidity, thrips, nutrient problems, and weak stems... but I'm impressed with the bloom structure and aroma. Sensi seeds' Hindu Kush.

Lower temp and humidity in DIY grow space

I have a DIY grow space in a small room in my basement and I struggle to maintain good humidity and temp. I live in a temperate region with very hot summers and very cold winters.

During the winter, my basement is cold and the air is very dry, but I don't have much trouble regulating my environment because my lights generate heat and if the plants themselves aren't creating enough humidity, I can use houseplants or trays of water placed in front of my fans.

However, in the summer, it gets quite hot and humid outside, and with a dehumidifier running in my grow room it's really hard to keep it cool. The more I dehumidify, the hotter the room gets. If I don't dehumidify, it's too humid.

I'm in early flower now and the room is hovering around 80F and 78% RH. I try to minimize the amount of water sitting around and evaporating as much as possible.

The plants seem fine for now but I would like to be around 60F and 60% RH by late flower. They're indicas (OG Kush and Hindu Kush) so I'm worried about how they'll handle prolonged heat and humidity, and in my experience, the cold helps stimulate trichome production.

The room is mostly sealed when I close the door, but does have a small 1ft x 0.5ft opening near the ceiling on one end of the room. I've thought about putting an exhaust fan there but not sure how to find the right fan, or how much that would even help, since the rest of the basement pretty hot and humid too. Not as bad as inside the grow room, but definitely not 60/60.

My house has a hard time keeping cool with window AC units in the extreme heat we've been experiencing, so even the ambient temp on the main floor is not really low enough.

Is there anything I can do to lower both temp AND humidity in the grow space? Some kind of condenser? A big block of ice with a way to channel meltwater out of the room? I need ideas. Thanks in advance.

Photos are from 3 weeks ago to give an idea of what the space is like. I don't have any photos from flowering phase yet.

Moldy Eucalyptus Left in Vase

I put this sprig of eucalyptus in a bottle and forgot about it for a couple years. Apparently the opening of the bottle was small enough that most of the water is still there. Eucalyptus got moldy and I thought it was moldly interesting.
