My approach to using inflation forecasts on Kalshi

I have been watching CPIs on kalshi and using forecasts for inflation in my work.

I stumbled upon Truflation because of their real time inflation statistics and find their T-1 CPI forecast very interesting as it provides me another estimate that can compare with the estimates priced on kalshi. They now have a forecast for PCE which i am also watching.

When the forecast is clear about something in one direction then i look at other possibilities on the same market rather than just taking a yes position. Sometimes the no part of another outcome will provide me a better expected value.

So far this has been working great for how i trade those markets but still trying out other strategies. Anyone here compares outside CPI forecasts with kalshi prices before they place their bets?

Backups and uptime are becoming a concern with my current host

Experiencing some troubles with my current host as there have been some downtimes which happen from time to time and are starting to bother me. It has not been anything dramatic yet but it is very annoying not to know how long my website is going to be unavailable.

A greater concern for me is the backups. It occurred to me recently that am not quite sure about the frequency of the backups or the ease of restoring the whole thing in case something goes wrong. I have been counting on my host for that so it makes me a bit uneasy.

It seems that i should consider finding another hosting provider as one that has reliable uptime, automation of the backups and restoration processes.

For those who have gone through this trouble before then what hosting providers have been working out fine for you?
