Sa beach volleyball naman, panalo (literally) ang Alas Pilipinas on an all-Filipino final after the duo of Sofia Pagara and Khylem Progella wins against the duo of Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons!

Scores are 21-18, 21-13. Saya makakita ng all-Filipino final on a VNL tourney, last time this happened is a Futures event din in 2022 na Rondina-Gonzaga and Eslapor-Rodriguez ang naglaban.

After sweeping the elimination round, UST wins against CSB Lady Blazers to win the championship in 4 sets. This tournament also starts the "offseason season" for UAAP/NCAA schools. With 2-3 more leagues happening in the next few months, can the UST collegiate team replicate the offseason sweep that their junior counterparts started?

This is (probably) our Alas Pilipinas lineup for U17 Worlds, and basing lang ako sa fact na shinare sya ng father ng isa sa mga possible players:

OH: Celis, Rayco, Herbon, Lleses

MB: Gale, Hernandez, Sadia, Manzano

OPP: Bulandres, Mauricio

S: Olaguir, Mahinay

L: Teves, Ramos (?)

Not sure who Ramos is aside from her being from NUNS, Teves (UST) is a 13/14 year old OH sa UST btw. Hopefully natural libero si Ramos kasi mukhang may shortage tayo ng magaling na libero sa under 16/17.

Key holdovers are Rayco, Herbon, Olaguir, Gale, Sadia, and Hernandez

While going through volleyball news on Facebook, I saw this post from one of the parents ng U16 players last year, stating na half of the U16 team from last year were cut and will not make it to Chile. That being said, mukhang may lineup na ngayon na nagt-train for U17 in August, which hopefully means may chemistry yung U17 team na ipapadala natin.

Medyo sad lang for the players that were cut pero I hope they at least keep the core players from the U16 team, and add some of the best U17 players we have.

The Alas U18 Girls (mainly comprised of NUNS girls with a few additions from other schools) wins bronze vs Indonesia in 5 sets, 27-25, 27-29, 18-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Super happy for them kahit na ang gulo ng naging setup, hopefully may improvements pa tayong makita before the AVC U18 tournament, especially for Rayco na papunta na ng FIVB Girls' U17 World Championship sa August.

An extended roster has been announced for the Alas Pilipinas Men's Volleyball Team for 2026. They should be able to play SEAV-League and the Asian Games this year. Thoughts?

Habang nagkakagulo ang women's team, looks like Alas Men's started beefing their player pool up.

Present in the training na nasa Alas pool na previously are CKC's Josafat, ADMU's Batas, and UST's Sali

Looks like the following additions are currently training with the Alas team:

• CKC's Jude Garcia
• DLSU's NJ Bangit, Josh Magalaman
• ADMU's Rodge Alejos
• MU's Barbie San Andres
• AEP's Jared Schnake

Aside from these players, may ibang FEU players din daw na nainvite pero nasa pahinga pa/nag-aalangan, pero may mga snubbed daw ulit ;-; hope we get an updated list of invites once more players are added
