Hello everyone

I recently bought a Membrana TC 3L long jacket from stoneisland.com. I received it and tried it on. As luck would have it, it’s a bit chilly at the moment and there’s a ‘light’ drizzle. A huge disappointment.

- The sizing. I usually take a size S from Stone Island. The jacket is oversized and fits very loosely indeed. The cut is not good at all.

- It isn’t waterproof at all. I walked for 37 minutes. I didn’t feel a thing on a path with a light, fine drizzle, and not even when it was continuous. My shoulders were wet; water seeps through the seams...

I bought this jacket for €980 and I’m very disappointed. It’s the first time in 23 years that a Stone Island product has disappointed me this much. I didn’t really want to believe it when I read that the brand’s quality had gone down, but in the end I have to admit it’s true. The brand has lost sight of functionality and practicality for everyday use. I can’t say for how long, as there are still some gems despite everything (the Denim range, for example) which is actually quite good quality...

I’m thinking of sending my feedback to Stone Island. What do you think? Have you ever had this sort of problem, or have you been let down by a model you wanted?

PS: I’m not slagging the brand off, as I’m still a ‘fan’, but… it’s a bit of a blow to realise that what we love doesn’t have the same appeal as it did in the early days…
